Máiréad Nesbitt

A Grammy and Emmy–nominated artist Máiréad Nesbitt has enchanted millions worldwide as the featured violinist and founding member of the internationally acclaimed Celtic Woman. Beloved by fans across ages and cultures far beyond Ireland’s shores, Máiréad’s captivating stage presence and versatile artistry have made her an icon. She is the featured violin soloist on eleven Celtic Woman albums, each of which reached number one on the Billboard World Music Chart.

Hailed by The New York Times as “a demon of a fiddle player,” Máiréad is among Ireland’s most sought-after musicians. Her honors include Irish Music Magazine’s Best Traditional and Multi-Instrumentalist Artist awards. 

Máiréad’s violin was featured on the original Riverdance soundtrack, as well as Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames, touring with both productions. She also composed the original score for Irish Dance Invasion, featured on the Celtic Tenors’ Live in Concert DVD.

Her solo albums, Raining Up and Hibernia, achieved worldwide success on the Billboard charts, while Devil’s Bit Sessions was recorded in her family’s three-century-old home in Tipperary, featuring three generations of Nesbitts. Her latest album, Celtic Spells, features music from her immersive live show, currently playing to sold-out audiences across the U.S.

Máiréad has performed at the White House and the Pentagon for four U.S. presidents and at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and London’s Hyde Park. She has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Nigel Kennedy, Van Morrison, Sinéad O’Connor, Clannad, Emmylou Harris, Chris De Burgh, Sharon Shannon, and Dónal Lunny’s Coolfin.

In 2018, she made her Broadway debut in the genre-blending show Rocktopia, which enjoyed a sold-out run. She is also a regular guest soloist at Carnegie Hall with Sybille Szaggars Redford and the Tim Janis Ensemble and is featured on Janis’s album Celtic Lands.

Máiréad’s relationship with Disney® includes performing as the featured violin soloist on the Tinker Bell and Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure soundtracks, as well as a special Celtic segment for Harmonious at Epcot, later recreated for Disney+’s first live broadcast.

Alex Sharpe is a radiant Irish soprano and acclaimed actress whose luminous voice has captivated audiences across the globe. Originally from the seaside town of Portmarnock in County Dublin, she began her professional career at just 19, starring as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. This striking debut launched a career defined by passion, versatility, and powerful performances.

Alex soon made her mark on London’s West End—the heart of musical theatre—where she performed in celebrated productions including Les Misérables, The Rocky Horror Show, Aspects of Love, and Follies in Concert. On the West End and the UK and Ireland tour of Les Misérables, she portrayed the beloved character Éponine, earning acclaim for her emotive vocals and compelling stage presence. Her time in the West End solidified her reputation as a world-class performer.

In 2006, Alex joined the internationally renowned ensemble Celtic Woman, embarking on global tours and performing in iconic venues around the world. Her soaring voice became a hallmark of the group’s signature blend of Irish tradition and modern elegance. She returned for their 10th-anniversary celebration in 2015, once again enchanting audiences worldwide.

As a solo artist, Alex released her debut album Be Still My Soul in 2013—a deeply personal collection of traditional hymns and original compositions. She has since collaborated with acclaimed musicians including Jenny Oaks Baker, Kurt Bestor, and Camille Nelson, and returned to her theatrical roots in the Irish-American musical Find Your Way Home.

Her solo performances have included appearances with the R.T.E. Concert Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, The Hallé, Birmingham City Orchestra, Upper Canada Chorus, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, A Kurt Bestor Christmas, the American Festival Chorus & Orchestra, and the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra & Chorale. She also provided backing vocals on the award-winning Evita film soundtrack, supporting music icon Madonna.

Continuing to explore the intersection of music, heritage, and personal storytelling, Alex has been touring the United States with her own show, Heart of Ireland. Her debut Christmas album, The Secret of Christmas, is set for release in November 2025.

Today, Alex Sharpe remains a vibrant force in the world of music—bringing authenticity, heart, and an unmistakable Irish spirit to every stage she graces.
